A concept scheme for a bespoke home that will become part of sustainable managed small farm in the heart of the gentle Welsh countryside.
The overall character of the designed dwelling is of a traditional house/cottage, with some contemporary features that give it a distinct character. We have built upon key characteristics of vernacular houses found in the area, and incorporated design features such as a balcony, larger openings, and covered walkways in direct response to the site.
The lower half of the dwelling is clad in brick and the upper half is oak framed with rendered lime-based infill panels. The house will be a masonry construction chosen for it longevity and thermal mass properties.
